Born Down Under and raised in Texas,
I spent my childhood cruising Highway 37 to our family’s second home in Port Aransas. We were drawn to this beautiful island community and truly enjoyed everything it had to offer.
After graduating Churchill High School in San Antonio, I accepted a scholarship to play D1 NCAA Volleyball at the University of San Diego. I attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and in the process, I realized the value in becoming bilingual. After graduation, I moved to Central America for a year to teach English and learn Spanish.
The Island continued to call and I found myself back in Port Aransas. Upon returning, I became involved in the family’s interior design business. I was directly involved in assisting clientele, selecting materials and overseeing remodel/new construction projects. Through this process, I was afforded the opportunity to work hand in hand with reputable builders, suppliers and a discerning customer base. This also gave me the experience to recognize the potential and suitability of properties based on individual needs.
A Real Estate career was inevitable. After becoming a Licensed Texas Real Estate Agent, I was employed by Port Aransas Realty. While there, I represented a multitude of buyers and sellers ranging from private second homes, investment/rental income properties, or clients looking to relocate.
After working in the Island Moorings Office, I was relocated to represent a new boutique master planned community, Sunflower Beach. This opened the door to directly represent buyers in search of new options in a unique community.
Continuing my passion for Real Estate, I acquired a Texas Real Estate Broker License and opened my brokerage, Tarpon Realty. I represent clients on the open market with interest in Port Aransas and the surrounding areas. The name Tarpon Realty was chosen to represent and remember Port Aransas’ quaint and hospitable coastal namesake and culture. This is the business philosophy in which we aim to honor.
As an active member of the community, I am a board member on the Port Aransas Preservation and Historical Association. I am the Chairmen of the annual fundraising Gala hosted in early Spring.
My husband, Matt Richter, and I are fortunate to have all of our immediate family living here on the island. Being surrounded by our family is a blessing and calling Port Aransas home is a privilege.
I look forward to meeting you in person and catering to you Real Estate needs.
Foster Scott moved to Port Aransas from Keller, Texas after slowly falling in love with the coastal bend. He spent many childhood summers enjoying the beach and laidback atmosphere with his extended family. After graduating from the University of North Texas with a degree in Sports Management, he pursued a career based on his love for hockey. Foster worked corporate sales for a North Texas hockey organization, where he also coached youth hockey and was the director of a summer sports camp. These were incredible years of his life, where he learned a variety of valued skills.
When he was offered the opportunity to manage a family owned boutique hotel in Port Aransas, he decided to make a life change and move to the place he had enjoyed so much as a child. He was in charge for managing all onsite operations. One thing that remained a priority to him was making guests feel a personal and organic connection with the hotel.
Foster fell in love with Port Aransas and the community when he moved here. He realized he could take his entrepreneurial spirit and combine it with his desire to serve others by building a career in real estate. His passion for the community and love for connecting with others is what inspires him to help others make this special place their home.
Foster is an avid surfer, loves to spend time outdoors, and a sunset connoisseur.
Samantha Kypke has always had a creative nature. She grew up in Oklahoma but moved to Austin to explore her passion for culinary arts and pursue a degree from The Texas Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu.
After working in the fine dining industry, she followed family ties south and moved to Port Aransas. She worked as a manager for a boutique on the island, and later in interior design for a local firm. These experiences provided an opportunity for her to get to know the community and to showcase her eye for design. While doing so she also learned the facets of running a successful business. Soon, the opportunity came to chase a long-time dream of opening her own local restaurant, Sammy’s. But alas, hurricane Harvey had other plans and she was forced to close.
Samantha married a local home builder and has really enjoyed assisting with design and office projects. Real estate seemed like a logical next venture, so she studied and earned her license.
She is proud to have made Port A her home and loves the island life, and beachy aesthetic. She looks forward to advising sellers, and helping buyers find exactly what they are looking for.
